Professor Luo's group studies the fundamental physics of energy and mass transport from the molecular-level and applies the knowledge towards engineering materials with tailored thermal properties, improving the energy conversion efficiency of energy devices, and designing molecules and systems for an innovative water desalination technology - Directional Solvent Extraction.
