Research Interests
The emphasis of the research in Professor Kamat's lab is to elucidate the mechanistic and kinetic details of charge transfer processes in nanostructured assemblies with an objective to improve energy conversion efficiencies. We are currently pursuing research projects in nanotechnology/materials chemistry, solar energy conversion, chemical processes in heterogeneous media, and solar fuels.
Professor Kamat has a concurrent appointment in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.
