Research Interests
Professor Fay's research interests include the design, fabrication, and characterization of compound semiconductor-based devices and circuits for microwave, millimeter-wave, and power electronic applications, as well as high-speed optoelectronic devices and optoelectronic integrated circuits for fiber optic telecommunications. Research in his group seeks to leverage the unique properties of compound semiconductors and other emerging materials for performance advantages, as well as to provide novel device-level functionality.
He is director of the Notre Dame Nanofabrication Facility.
