M. Sharon Stack

Research Interests

Understanding the molecular mechanisms by which tumor cells orchestrate multiple microenvironmental cues to regulate metastatic dissemination is the major focus of the Stack laboratory. The approach involves biochemical and cell-based assays, organotypic and ex vivo three-dimensional models, murine tumor models, and human tissues.

Professor Stack is the Ann F. Dunne and Elizabeth M. Riley Director of Harper Cancer Research Institute at Notre Dame. She has a concurrent appointment in the Department of Biological Sciences and is also a faculty member in Notre Dame's interdisciplinary Bioengineering PhD program.
