Research Interests
The Zartman lab uses a combination of quantitative experimental and computational approaches to reverse engineer multicellular systems that define soft biomaterials such as epithelial monolayers. They focus their analysis on the biological regulation of tissue growth, pattern formation, and regeneration to inspire new ways to treat human diseases, such as birth defects and cancer, and to accelerate wound healing and regeneration.
