Professor Scott’s research investigates how the changing mechanical and material properties of reproductive tissues regulate cellular behavior during pregnancy. Understanding the role of mechanics throughout gestation could reveal new mechanisms underlying pregnancy complications and inform strategies to improve maternal health outcomes.
